Salvations and Baptisms. After living a life for self and worldy living, Naomi soon began to realize that nothing would fill the emptiness she still had in her life. About two years ago, a friend invited her to visit our church. She would only visit occasionally during certain special events. Slowly, she began to build relationships at our church. Through a series of life events, Naomi finally decided to put her faith in Christ for her salvation. In January, she started off the new year with following the Lord in believer’s baptism.
Kurt and Dean are the children of one of our recent converts, Grace. Grace and her husband, Manson, have been attending our church for a few months. After Grace’s salvation and baptism, she began to ask us to pray that her children would also receive Christ. Praise the Lord! Through several conversations with different people in our ministry, they finally accepted Christ. I had the privilege of praying with them in my home. Kurt and Dean were baptized in January.
Visa Update. We were granted a temporary extension of our current visa until the end of February 2017. This is not ideal, but we are continuing to trust Him in our next steps. Our Singapore church leaders are in place to help us in a temporary transition. Please pray that we would be granted a more permanent visa.
Ministry staff, Melody and Nathan Rippee, outreach to youths at a local community centre through basketball. In the month of January, several of our church businessmen donated money to make Crosslight team jerseys for these boys.
This was an emotionally tough month as I had to conduct the home-going service of our member, Mr. Adrian Beins. I had the privilege of baptizing Adrian and his precious wife, Nini, almost one year ago.
