Café Bible Studies

Recently, Susan went to a local café in our community to show support for the opening business. Susan began to speak with owner and he introduced her to his sister, Christine, the co-owner. As Susan and Christine continued their conversation, Susan shared with Christine her faith and the reason of our being in Singapore. Christine quickly replied that she too was a believer and so was the rest of the family except for her brother (the co-owner) and his son. Christine expressed to Susan that she understands the challenges of starting a new church in Singapore, so she offered to us the use of her café. In Christine’s words, “I want to be a blessing to you, please know you are welcome to use my restaurant as a meeting place.” What an encouragement by her willingness to be kingdom-minded. At the present, we are not able to utilize her space for church service due to the limited seating capacity of twenty-four, but we would love to utilize it for smaller weekly Bible studies.

Youth Fellowship

In July, we hosted our first youth fellowship with a few of our young men. We also had a dual birthday celebration for Zhan Rong and Kenny in that month.

We are thankful to Andrew Payne, Joshua, and James who came all the way from the state of Arizona, USA, to help us distribute tracts in a nearby estate. They were a blessing to us.

In June, I was privileged to be invited by Dr. Gerry Baughman to assist with Camp BIMI hosted at the BIMI headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is a camp specifically for young people who have an interest in mission service. Dr. and Mrs. Gerry Baughman have faithfully directed this ministry in the last 20 years. What a thrill to meet young people who desire to travel around the world to serve the Lord!
