Transition of Ministry Announcement

When God works on the heart of a Christian, making it clear that He is leading in a specific direction, and then goes as far to open miraculous doors to make this calling possible, the only way to go is forward.

After much time of prayer, fasting, and counsel, I am publicly acknowledging that I am transitioning from my current position as Administrative Pastor of Gospel Light Baptist Church to pursue a short-term missions ministry.

Please know and understand that this decision did not by any means come easy to our family. At the present, I firmly believe that God has new ministry directions for our family. Over the course of the past three years, I believe God has been calling our family to serve in Southeast Asia. I will begin by establishing the initial church in the country of Singapore.

I have a great love and admiration for Gospel Light and for Pastor Eric Capaci. I will truly miss it and wish only the very best for Gospel Light! Both Pastor Capaci and I have counseled and communicated often about this burden. And now, I shall take the leap of faith whereby we have been called. We have mutually agreed that this decision is the best. We will continue to partner together as the Lord allows as an extension of Gospel Light.

I want to thank Gospel Light for the opportunity to have served locally in Hot Springs. To my dear friends at Gospel Light, now, I only ask that you would allow me to continue serving, but in a different avenue—by way of internationally in Southeast Asia as your missionary.

To my friends and supporters all around the world, I would love to speak with anyone that may have questions about our new ministry. If you would like to schedule our family to present our new ministry work to you or your congregation, please contact us. In the coming weeks, we will update our website to reflect our new ministry endeavor.

Thank you for taking a moment to read this update from the Chhim Family.
