Highlights from July Trip to SE Asia

In July, several men traveled with me from the USA to visit Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia. God used this trip to reconfirm His call in my heart. What a joy to see several different works while we traveled in this region. Our group saw four saved while ministering in Malaysia. In Singapore, we visited with several pastors. Our hearts were blessed by their fellowship. They were so kind in answering our questions about our future church plant in Singapore. In Cambodia, we visited missionaries: Dave Board, Touch Keo, Bouna Has, Chad Phillips, and Stephen Benefield. Our hearts were blessed to witness these men faithfully serving and reaching the Cambodian people.  Ryan Thompson traveled by boat across the river with Touch Keo to serve in a village ministry about two hours from the capital city.

Part of my visit to Singapore was to allow me to take care of some paperwork in preparation to our final move in November. At the moment, we are faced with a small hurdle concerning our visa. Visa issuance has been tightened, thereby making the process a little more complicated. The government requires that our family be sponsored into the country by an existing Singaporean organization. A few men in Singapore are prayerfully considering how best to help us obtain our visa. Our trust and faith is in the Lord. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us. I Thessalonians 5:24-25. God called us and we know and trust that the details will be fulfilled accordingly and in His time.

I would covet your prayers for two of the young men that joined us on this trip, Andrew Reimers and Austin Hutchinson. Andrew is a senior at Golden State Baptist College. Austin is a freshman in Bible college. Both are fine young men that are considering missionary service in SE Asia.

While in Cambodia, I had the privilege of introducing the men that traveled with me to my dad and his family. He traveled 2 hours from the village to visit us and enjoy a meal together. This is a picture of my dad (man on the far left).  Please pray with me about his salvation.

I grew up in Singapore as a missionary kid and the church my father planted is thriving. I think you need to reword your information to make it clear that you are not planting (by any means) the first church in Singapore.
