Cretzman Update Part – 2

God is at work! Late this evening, Lana had the privilege of speaking with her nurse at the hospital about the Lord. We are thrilled to see how God is using this event to bring people to the saving knowledge of Christ. Thus far, we have seen/heard of three souls that have trusted Him through this event. To God be the glory!

What a joy to see the response of God’s people and to see answers to prayers right before our very eyes. On behalf of the Cretzmans, they want to express their continued deepest gratitude for the love and prayers that have been shown. There have literally been thousands of emails, phone calls, personal visits, Facebook messages, Tweets, and website comments expressing your deep love and prayers for them. To this end, we are humbled and we say thank you.

Lana’s surgery went well. She is recovering nicely in a private room. The initial acknowledgement from the hospital was that she would probably be released late Saturday, especially considering that the funeral needed to take place by Monday/Tuesday. However, because of your faithful prayers, Lana is healing quite well and she may be released by Friday. Praise the Lord! Of course, there will be extensive rehabilitation to follow for several weeks and maybe months, but Lana is a strong we pray that her recovery would be speedy.

Today has been quiet a hectic and busy day. You cannot imagine the thought of having to prepare for the funeral arrangements for your precious little daughter. Today was a hard and challenging day, however, with God’s grace and strength, funeral arrangements are being made. God showed great favor! Your prayers are being heard. Pastor Bobby Roberson has offered Gospel Light Baptist Church facilities for visitation as well as the funeral itself. Also, there have been some burial land at a local cemetery that has been graciously donated to allow for the burial of precious Azlynn.

The family would like to make known the times for the funeral services of Azlynn Cretzman. The services will be on Monday, February 27th at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown, North Carolina.

I am ashamed that my faith is not as strong as yours. Although saved for the last 3 years, I feel as if I am still a “babe in the faith”. However, in light of the events, I am proud and humbled by the grace, love, and faith our Lord has provided you. I could not imagine what you are going through – but your love and humility for our Savior has encouraged me far beyond. We may never meet on this earth, but I’m sure we will all say hi in heaven.  My wife, son (2 1/2) my daughter (4 mons) will all continue to pray for a fast and peaceful recovery- both physcial and spiritual. In Christ -I thank you.

It brings tears to my eyes to see someone who is dealing with such a loss and there own healing, but yet still able to give glory to God and praise his name and share him with others. This is truely a touching story. And I just want to say thank you for being such a good testamony to me and for being someone to look up to and hope that if I ever have to face such a trial that I may look back and see how well God used your family to help others, and how well your family leaned closer to God then farther away .

  23. Rkchildress

Praise the Lord that people have been able to see Christ through this trial in their lives.  We understand the life of a missionary as we serve the Lord on the field in the Philippines.  Praise the Lord also for letting our home church suppy the place and arrangements for the funeral.  May God bless this family and wrap His loving arms around them as they grieve.

  24. Shondawilliford

Love y’all and will continue to pray! Isn’t it amazing how “broad” the BODY OF CHRIST truly is? Praise the Lord!

So so amazing to see the work that God is doing. My heart is breaking for this family, but knowing that their little girl is now walking and talking with God gives me peace. I am truly humbled by their faith and love for God. We all should be so faithful to God.

  29. Sandra Hedrick

I went to your website and read your testimony there about your call to the ministry, Lana.  When I read that you want be spent for Him, my heart filled, and I could feel tears coming.  God gave you little Azlynn for three years, and now your testimony has even more impact as to serving Jesus who gave His all for us.  Many of us will not have to be spent like that.  May God get more and more glory through His use of the Cretzman family.

  30. Johnniejuan

God bless you guys,  Mt 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Isa 61:2-3; Lu 6:21; Joh 16:20; 2Co 1:7; Re 21:4..        2Co 1:7 ¶ And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

  31. Slabiamonte

If you truely love the Lord and have him in your heart he will get you through anything you are going through.. It us that has to be opened to Allowing God to get us through these trials.. I cryed and cried for this family and Thank God for their Faith.. I have been a christian for for 27 years and felt like could I get through this as strong as they are? I don’t know but I do know when we are going through any thing God is right their by our side just waiting for us to seek him.. God can hold us through any storm.. Thank you lord for Loving us so much that you Gave your son for me even though i deserve nothing.. I praise you lord for all you have done for us all!! I Love you Lord.

  32. Ellie North

It amazes me that Lana is still smiling even though her daughter had died just days early & they were preparing for her funeral! That’s great that she was able to speak to that nurse about the Lord & that people have been getting saved, but it shouldn’t take a tragedy like this for the country to realize how badly we need God. Please update on how the funeral goes! I live in Texas, so sadly, there was no way I could go:(

  33. Ejohns0407

Matt, thank you so much for sharing your testimony at the Man Up conference last night. Your words of peace touched my husband so deeply. He hugged his 3 girls extra hard this morning before leaving for the conference again. Thank you.
