Chantha and wife Susan met while attending Bible college in Santa Clara, California. They have been happily married since 2001. They continue to be in love, raise their young men, and share the love of Christ to others. Together they have three children: Caleb (15), Corban (11), and Carter (8).
In the first decade of Chantha’s ministry, from 2001 to 2011, he served as Administrative Pastor alongside Dr. Eric Capaci at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Each day undertaking the work of serving on the church leadership team, pastoral responsibilities, daily oversight of staff administration, and liaison for various ministries operating under Gospel Light, it was here the foundations of Chantha’s pastoral work was refined and honed. Thereafter, the Chhims stepped out in faith to begin church planting works in Asia. Chantha loves to help people grow their faith, and lead people of all backgrounds and nations into a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
In 2013, Chantha planted Crosslight Baptist Church in Singapore. Today he serves as founder and director SEAL Network (Spiritually Equipping Asian Leaders), and also serves as an Associate Trainer in Southeast Asia for EQUIP Leadership®, A ministry founded by Dr. John C. Maxwell. Through the SEAL Network, churches have been planted in Singapore, Nepal, and India. There are several mission works being birthed in Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Indonesia.
In 2016, the SEAL Leadership Training Centre was established in the country of Nepal. The purpose was to develop a network of intentional leaders that would establish 75 new indigenous churches in the next 10 years across the 75 different districts in the country of Nepal.
As part of his global ministry, Chantha works with various non-profit organizations variously as a board member or regional director. His broader goal is to continue to build relationships with like-minded, Christian leaders for global gospel impact.
